Doing more advanced research into intellectual disabilities.
@13 hours agoI am an artist living and working in Dublin. I am currently studying Fine Art Media in the National College of Art and Design.

Possibly a more aesthetically wise choice for the performance. Will contrast more against the cotton wool.
Attaching things to lamp posts and bicycle rails with bicycle locks that aren’t bicycles.

Glossolalia or speaking in tongues is the fluid vocalizing (or less commonly the writing) of speech-like syllables that lack any readily comprehended meaning, in some cases as part of religious practice.
Sanding off paint splatters from bar stool and re-varnishing
“performatively” of course.
Certain things I wear or use because they stand me in good stead.
Because I have been through a lot with them.
Because, for one reason or another, out of necessity or out of choice, I have come to know them well.
I don’t know why I am drawn to the blue doc martens, but I feel a compulsion to wear them, they are like a talisman that have not been fully proven yet, but I go with gut instinct.
I use the bar stool because it is the site where many ideas for this piece developed. When I sit on it, my body feels like its in the right place. There are prettier stools I could get, more “aesthetic”, but would I know them well enough?
The grotty steel table which looks like it has nothing going for it is used because I have come to know and like it. It was a connection at the first interaction. Like the docs, I don’t know fully why I must use this yet, but I have to go with my gut instinct.
